Default What is wrong with monthly tournaments?

Agony Realm finished 17 = played one game
Bezymslne Dogadzanie Sobie finished 22 = DID NOT PLAY one game
Prizewinning Hogs finished 26 = 2-4 record while other guilds lower are 3-3
RAWR finished 16 = 3-3 with 9.584 points while 5 OTHER GUILDS where 4-2 with 12+ points

I really hope that is NOT the final standing.

BTW - gratz to all top 16 finishers and specially to vD who has been the best guild for the past several months!

The tournaments are still bugged, and new bug appeared as they wanted to make some changes like adding Single Elimination rounds. The ratings displayed = the order in which the guilds we're ranked in the ladder when they entered the tournament. And they remain the same for all the tournament, which looks very confusing (this is a new bug added yesterday)

Also, the old problem with pairings in certain rounds depening heavily on guilds ladder rating hasn't been removed.
According to the official Guild Wars $100,000 Tournament Series Rules
article (http://www.guildwars.com/competitive...07/rules.php):
Quote:
*For all automated tournaments (GvG and 1v1), all participants are
randomly seeded for the first round.
*Each subsequent Swiss round pairs participants randomly against
opponents with matching win/loss records."
While the first part is true, the second is not. the current system for pairings for rounds 2 and further is not random at all. Instead it matches guilds with the closest possible rank in the tournament, this includes all the tiebreakers. In round 2 and often in round 3 most of the guilds have equal opponent match win percentage tiebreaker, so the guilds' rank on the ladder determines
their tournament rank at this time. The problem is that the pairing
system simply matches guilds with their next closest ranked opponent.

And the daily is also broken.

[RYUK] finished 2nd in the 1AM EST daily and got no qualifier points or rewards points.

Holy sh!t ANet. Months of delay for this crap? Wow - epic failure at all levels. Waste your players time more please.

There is that much wrong with the (monthly) tournaments that I really wonder how Anet actually dared to release them. But I think everyone knows that already, no reason to discuss it again. Congratulations to vD. I have no idea which time it was when you played PnH, but I guess it was 5am or something. Don't even want to know at which times RenO was playing. And then the next monthly tournament will start an hour later.... Going be lots of fun I guess.

Did you get a bye on the first round? Because it's already been a while that guilds with a bye don't receive any points.

yea, we did, but the rest of our matches were live matches =/. If I remember right, we went 3 and 2 that night with our only 2 losses both being to KGYU.

If you have a Bye in your first round, you get NO reward points, but you should get Qualifier Points...
